Bring your family and friends to the Pequest Trout Hatchery for a day of family fun. Volunteers from Trout Unlimited and the Wildlife Conservation Corps will be on hand to teach kids between the ages of 8 and 16 the art of fishing as they try their luck in the Pequest Fishing Education Pond. All equipment will be provided. Kids under 8 will be able to fish in the "Kiddie Fishing Tank" which will be stocked with trout from the hatchery.

There will be an archery range for beginners, as well as a free 3-D archery course for the advanced archer. The 3-D course consists of 15 shooting stations simulating realistic hunting conditions, and you will need to bring your own equipment. A shotgun range for beginners ages 10 and up will be available where novices can learn the basics of shooting safety and have the opportunity to shoot at knock-down targets. A hunter education class will also be offered at the festival. Registration for this class begins on September 1. To register, please sign up at www.njfishandwildlife.com/hunted.htm.
