Hunter education in New Jersey has changed.
The NJ Hunter Education Program offers two courses: FIREARMS and BOW; prior to 2014 there were separate Shotgun and Rifle/Muzzleloader courses. These are now combined into the FIREARMS course.
The revised Manual and Workbook are available online and at store locations listed below. Students taking the new Firearms course need to complete both "Shotgun" and "Rifle/Muzzleloader" sections.

Hunter Education Home Study Course materials are available at the following vendors and Division offices. Please contact the vendor or Division office beforehand to confirm availability of Hunter Education materials and store/office hours.
Print materials are available for download. The video is available on DVD and is also available online.
To obtain the materials via US Priority Mail, send $5.60 IN US POSTAGE STAMPS ONLY, along with an index card with your name and address, to:
