Seasonal Freshwater Fisheries Technician - South JerseyBackground: Natural resource management, environmental science, or biology Location: Sicklerville, Camden County Job Description: Work directly with the regional fisheries biologist on fisheries management projects involving anadromous clupeids, artificial habitat projects, lake management activities and invasive species control. Responsibilities include field sampling, data collection, record keeping, and equipment maintenance. Candidates should also be willing to work occasional nights when required for field sampling. Qualifications: College student or graduate with a concentration in natural resource management, environmental science, or biology. Experience in freshwater fisheries research and management is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently. Experience in boat operation, fisheries sampling techniques, and fish identification is preferred. Applicants will be required to complete a NJ Boater Safety Course.
