Job Description: Assist with field, laboratory and data processing for NJ Bureau of Shellfisheries shellfish management, restoration and enhancement projects. Projects include: NJ surf clam inventory, Barnegat Bay shellfish inventory, shellfish restoration program, Mullica River oyster restoration program and Delaware Bay juvenile finfish trawl survey.

Duties include: Field sampling on Bureau's vessels as well as on commercial surf clam vessels. Deploy sampling equipment to collect shellfish and other organisms and measure basic water quality. Record, enter and proof data collected by the Bureau. Maintain buildings, grounds, vehicles, vessels, trailers and equipment.

Requirements: College or University graduate or current student with a major in Fisheries Management, Marine Science, Aquaculture, Biology, Wildlife Management or Environmental Sciences. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office. Possess a valid drivers license. Completion of the NJ boating safety course is preferred.

Compensation: $10.00 per hour.
