Date: When filled; full time, 35 hours per week. Employee may choose from two employment options:
1) Seasonal - Start/end any time, no more than 900 hours per year.
or
2) Summer - Starts in July, ends late than October. (Applicant may opt to end sooner.)

Location: Lebanon Fisheries Office, Hunterdon County
Job Description: Work directly with the regional fisheries biologist on fisheries management projects involving various fish capture techniques (electrofishing, seining, etc.). Responsibilities include field sampling, data collection, record keeping, and maintenance of equipment, building, and grounds. Candidates should also be willing to work occasional nights when required for field sampling.
Qualifications: College student or graduate with a concentration in natural resource management, environmental science, or biology. Experience in freshwater fisheries research and management is preferred. Basic computer skills including experience with WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS, and GIS are preferred. Candidates must demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently. Experience in boat operation, fisheries sampling techniques, and fish identification is preferred. Applicants will be required to complete a NJ Boater Safety Course. A valid driver's license is required.
Compensation: $8.00 - $16.00 an hour (depending on education and experience)
